Outdoor Cats

Question:

Hello Readers; OUTDOOR CATS At least in my town at least everywhere I have gone–cats are treated differently than dogs. My cat is an outdoor cat: I encourage this. This is conducive with the cat’s nature. I do not prevent my cat from visiting inside the house. It is free to roam at will anywhere it wants. I have NEVER heard of any prejudice or ill feelings from ANY of my neighbors ever. Cats are free to roam everywhere at will. Dogs on the other hand are a different matter. A cat will dispose of its waste, a dog will crap on your sidewalk, your porch, your car, your lawn, anywhere. A dog will attack children or adults. When was the last time you ever heard of a "PIT BULL CAT?" There are leash laws for dogs…there is no such law for a cat: at least none I know of. Cats are clean (comparatively), dogs are filthy. No animal is really clean. When was the last time you EVER saw a dog clean itself like a cat? My domain is my house. My cat’s domain is outside. I like my cat’s behavior because I expect it to act like a cat. If I expected it to act like a human I would have a serious problem. I would have to fabricate treatments and therapies to "help" my cat. My cat does not need any help. It is a cat. It acts like a cat and it is happy. It is I that have harmonized with its nature and not vica versa. It is the dog that is a nuisance. It is true that they are also outdoor creatures but…their nature is different. NO Person I know of lets their dog roam free. They are confined to a fenced area or are in houses. This lady across the street accidently let her dog outside. It was so happy the darling. It could not wait to run over to my house and crap on my driveway. I have never had a complaint about my cat. Hey make me a cat psychologist. Let’s see hummm. If your cat is acting up it is either because it is sick or it is unhappy because it is not allowed to be a cat. I understand that people in the city for example can not let their cats outside for one reason or another. I understand that some people are afraid that something "bad" will happen to their cat if it goes outside. Let it go outside. Is your cat’s tail up? Is it happy? That is Cat Psychology. Cat Psychology is not the organized attempt to "humanize" a cat’s behavior. It is a cat. If you can’t handle a cat’s behavior…perhaps you need a dog. Oh and by the way…it is a myth that domestic cats are asocial or antisocial. It only appears that way because pet cats are in a modified unnatural lifestyle. I saw a broadcast on the Discovery Channel about cats. A study was made of a large community of unsupervised domestic cats left outdoors. They had long term minimal interference from humans. Their behavior was almost exactly that of the lion.

Thank you for your comments Eugene, it is always nice to get the thoughts of someone new to the newsgroup. Helen M — God created the domestic cat so that man could touch the Tiger. Throw the cat out before replying.

Hello Readers; OUTDOOR CATS

Trolling, trolling, over the internet. Trolling, trolling see what response we get. We love to upset the regulars, Even if they attack our jugulars. So we’ll go… Trolling trolling every now and again See if we can get the group fighting again. I may be reading this wrong, but I get that trolled feeling.  If I’m not wrong, I’m sorry, but….  Anyway, I think I’m right and, if so, your big problem is that we don’t fight, as a rule, in RCPA. Pam S.

I’ve got it on one of my Carpenter CD’s I think it was the Ticket to Ride one.  I like her version better than Warwick’s but then I tend to like contraltos better than sopranos anyway.  I also tend to crank up the bass line on my CD player. Pam S.

One last correction. It’s Kelly McGillis playing Charlotte Blackwood, a.k.a. callsign Charlie. The Megadeth version, rather than the Nancy Sinatra one. Maybe that would make the point about how we feel about trolls. The Megadeth one is loud and fast, which how that song _should_ be sung. The lyrics are to strong for a ballad. — Andrea Fuller Winchester, England HEDS (VEDS overlay), FMS, OA, IBS, lumbar scoliosis, tinnitus, some hearing loss, stomach problems, chronic depression, multiple allergies, asthma….
